RICHARD BRAUTIGAN, geboren am 30. Januar 1935 in Tacoma/ Washington, war 1967 «Poet in Residence» am California Institute of Technology; dann freier Schriftsteller in San Francisco. Mit seinen Geschichten und Gedichten wurde er über Nacht zu einem Kultautor der Campus-Jugend. Richard Brautigan starb im September 1984 in Bolinas/Cal.
