太宰治 著、by Osamu Dazai

Born into a well-known family in northern Japan, a young man tells the story of his life.

“I have completely lost the ability to feel human.”

No Longer Human is written like a personal record of a man struggling with addiction and inner pain. It is often seen as partly based on Osamu Dazai’s own life, and is considered one of his most important works.

Also included is Cherries, a short final work about a father’s quiet sadness and the breakdown of family life, written near the end of his life.
